Mrs. Carroll at the blog called 'The First Grade Parade' is having a meet the teacher blog party.
It's safe to say, since I started blogging I have become obsessed with teacher blogs. I login to my blogger account before Facebook, online banking, or my e-mail. I have gotten so many amazing ideas from these talented teachers hosting these blogs. I am constantly amazed at the women out there teaching, raising a family, and making detailed blog postings for their followers! So very cool!

Well, her is my Get to know the Teacher Blogger tid bit.....
This is me. Gina. I am 26 years old and I have been teaching for a year and a half. I got a job right out of college and got placed in the awesome world of kindergarten.
I went to Un. of Hawaii and would love to go back for my masters degree one day soon.

In June of 2009, I married my best friend.  Our wedding was amazing and I am so happy my entire family was there so be part of it. We are going strong and live everyday to the fullest. No kids, just working hard on establishing our careers for the time being. We are getting our first house this summer and couldn't be happier for this stage in life of being homeowners (yikes!).

Now for the Q & A

Q: What would you be doing if you weren’t a teacher?

A:  I would say a fashion stylist for the stars (like Rachel Zoe's job), talk show host (like Kelly Ripa or dare I say it Oprah!), or a retail store owner that carried the hottest shoes and clothes.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A:  running, dancing, singing, painting, blogging, photography, cooking, and spending time with my pooch and the hubs.

Q: When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A: I hated this question when I was little. I would reply with "how can I answer that I'm ** years old, I know I'm gonna change my mind when I get older. But one thing I do know is that I don't want to sell real estate. "    (like all the other people in my family.)

Q: What are your guilty pleasures?
A:  Teen Mom (both seasons), Real Housewives (ALL of THEM), Jeresy Shore, US magazine, french fries, beer, Forever 21, thrift shopping, did I say french fries already?!

Q: What is your biggest fear?!

TSUNAMIS and traveling to a 3rd world country.

A: Q: When you’re on vacation, where do you like to go?
A: Off to California to see my niece and fam bam. Anywhere that has a nice hotel, yummy food, and not a lot of kids. (sounds bad I know b/c I am a teacher, but I think it's b/c I am one I can say that haahahah).

Q: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

A:  If you know better, do better.
Also, don't waste your time worrying about the things you cannot control.

Q: What do you value most in others?

A:  Honesty and realness.

Q: If you could choose one of your personality traits to pass down to your kids, what would it be?

A: Being able to speak up and stand up for yourself when you know it's necessary. Don't let other people beat down your self worth or change your mind on the right thing to do.

Q: If you could have lunch with anyone in the world….living or dead…who would it be?
A:  Oprah or my grandpa Lorenzo ( I miss him a lot.)
Now tell us one random thing about yourself:

In the 6th grade I got Leonardo Dicaprio's number and called his house. He answered the phone but I chickend out and hung up.
